Steven Del Duca visited Cobourg and Colborne Thursday

Ontario Liberal Leader Steven Del Duca toured parts of the provincial riding of Northumberland-Peterborough South (NPS) Thursday as part of the Leaders Summer Tour and in support of Northumberland-Peterborough South Provincial Liberal Candidate Jeff Kawzenuk. The duo visited Cobourg and Colborne.

Del Duca and Kawzenuk participated in an education roundtable at Cobourg’s Venture 13 Centre with parents and educators hearing first hand about the concerns and issues facing families and staff around education in Ontario today, as well as participated in a discussion about the safe opening and return to school of children across the riding.

The tour included a visit to Betty’s Pies and Tarts as Del Duca and Kawzenuk indulged in some award-winning baked goods.

Del Duca’s visit ended at a private residence where a volunteer appreciation event occurred.

“It’s amazing to be on the road, visiting communities across Ontario to listen to their ideas and concerns. The people of Northumberland-Peterborough South are lucky to have an incredible Ontario Liberal candidate in Jeff Kawzenuk, running to be their MPP. Jeff cares very deeply about his community, and he’s a strong voice in the push for a back-to-school plan that puts the safety and success of our children and the education workers in their schools first.” Steven Del Duca

” I am proud to show Ontario’s next Premier Steven Del Duca as Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, my favourite part of our great Province…Northumberland-Peterborough South. As a lifelong resident of this area as well as being a former educator and principal for over 35 years, I know first-hand how important education is for our local families and how our education roundtable will allow Mr. Del Duca another chance to hear how important our precious education system is, not only in NPS but across Ontario.” Jeff Kawzenuk
